Regardless of what the critics have said I loved this game, both campaign and co-op. Yes the campaign isn't anything deep, or groundbreaking, but is it fun? Oh yes. Thanks to an awesome arsenal of guns and some nifty hacking abilities to shift the battlefields in your favor, Syndicate's campaign moves at a fast pace and no I don't think it breaks the action too frequently and the bosses were different & short enough that they never become a chore. The length is average for shooters of this genre and the action and gunplay is so satisfying that you'll probably want to return to it multiple times.
Or you can jump into the co-op. I am quite taken by Syndicate's co-op, the challenge level is high and literally every game i've joined has been full of people helping one another and approaching firefights carefully rather than just guns blazing. There's plenty of enemies and actions for everyone to get the chance to contribute in some way and doing so earns points that unlock weapon & chip upgrades. I've had a blast with it and haven't enjoyed co-op this much since Halo: Reach.
You may or may not think it's worth the full price tag of $60, but if it grabs you the way it did me, you'll have a wicked trip online or off.
