This game is pretty decent. Not the best RPG, but better than a lot of people say.

I played this game on the Sega Genesis Collection and it's a pretty decent game. Great graphics and music. The gameplay is frowned upon by many but it's okay to me. You start off battles in the middle of the battlefield and you fight 1-8 of the same enemy at a time. You can only use one spell at a time and you can't heal, but that adds a little element of strategy and planning to battles since the battles are more action-based. Once you get used to the battle system of dodging and attacking the enemies on screen, it's not that bad. I actually enjoyed the game a little bit. The dungeons are kind of repetitive and look the same but they do have different enemies and bosses. I think having to light up the dungeons with candles or a light spell is pretty cool and adds to the effect of the dungeon.
In conclusion, this game isn't that bad. Not an excellent RPG, but it's not too bad. Nice graphics and sound and though somewhat repetitive, it is also enjoyable and a little challenging. So if you're a Sega fan and/or an RPG fan, at least check this one out.
