This popular fighting series is now on the current Nintendo handheld and it is full of pure enjoyment.
Super Street Fighter IV for is back for one more spin on the current handheld. This entry includes all 35 playable characters and modes of the console versions, although this portable version includes a few new features. Those features are dynamic view and figure collection. Dynamic mode brings depth as the playing field is rather titled as Figure collection is figurines of fighters battle other owners of the title in Street pass mode.
The gameplay for this fighting title is rather fast and full of nonstop action. The objective for any fighting title is similar. Perform moves including special moves to lower your opponent's stamina gauge until it is empty. Bonus stages throughout the Arcade mode give this title some variety than just fighting. The bonus stages are Car Crusher and Barrel Buster.
Controls of Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition are rather smooth due to feel of the control pad while moving your fighter plus optional types of controls. The control types are divided into Lite and Pro. Lite controls provide touch screen shortcuts on the bottom screen of the 3DS system to perform special moves and combos with ease. Pro controls use the touch screen for just normal moves. I often use the lite controls due to simply touching a button to strike a combo.
Graphics for Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition brings new depths to the series. All of the characters and stages are full of color and so detailed. The 3D effect of this version really shows as the fighters are brought up in front and the current stage in the back.
The sounds of Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition provides delightful tunes for each stage you battle on and brings the feeling of the environment around you. There is excellent commentary from exhausted fighters while battling with Ryu throwing and shouting his famous hadoken and he announcer brings encouragement for the next battle in line.
The replay value for this title is rather high due to the rather addictive internet matches. You are able to battle friends that also own Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition and traded Nintendo 3DS friend codes with them or experienced gamers around the world. You have an online icon and title you can change that is visible to your opponent. New icons and titles are unlocked when meeting certain requirements. In internet matches, you have Player and Battle points as well as a Battle class. Both points and your class increase as well as decrease depending how well you did in a match.
