I'm redoing my review for this, I wrote one a good while back when I first got the game and I was bummed about the price and was highly critical.... not to mention I lacked any sign of grammar.

I had this game when it first came out, I bought it, played it, lost badly at it, hated it and writ a very poor review on it on here. Now a few weeks ago I got bored and noticed this still in my games list, I decided to play it for laughs. I lost a lot so I knocked down the difficulty settings to easy and turned the speed down a bit so I could get used to it ( I know noob I am but well we all have to learn some were). I play this game every morning now, I put on some music and play (Not that I dislike the background music but I find this game a good game for listening to music with, there's no real story for you to have listen to that you would miss with the music on, it's just beat the other guy half to death :)) . I'm now getting pretty good at it, I can perform all the moves with Ryu and I can get through a few rounds without getting touched so well getting there lol.

Well now that's cleared onto the review, the game is still not highly up there for me as well it did cost me 1200MP which is a lot for what it's offering, there's not a lot to do, I think the game should have been priced at 800MP. I don't see the big difference between the two story modes except for a switch around with the moves and I haven't been on XBL with it because I hate most users on XBL due to there immature nature.

I think with a couple more extras the game would have been top notch though, the game is however surprisingly addictive and offers a great amount of satisfaction when you defeat a tough opponent with a well placed Fierce Shryuken. It can get frustratingly hard at times though specially with fighters like Blanka, Cammy and Sagat on the other hand it can become be insultingly easy specially with a boss fight like Balrog who can be defeat way too easily even on the harder modes.

The Sprites look great however if I am to criticise any thing then it's the back grounds, the loops are way too obvious in the animations, I'm not sure if this was intentional as a way of keeping it looking retro. If not then it's disappointing with the technology today I'm sure on a game that requires as little memory space as this they could have included some thing more diverse then 2 frame looped background, specially when people who are skilled enough with mugen can add better.

The music is brilliant, the menu music is catchy and I find my self humming it, some times even in college with too much enthusiasm that warrants my colleagues to move away from me along with the teacher threatening me with a causes for concern.

Overall the game is fun, it's repetitive yet addicting, brilliant music and aside from the back grounds brilliant art work, the game could however still do with some balancing as Sagat can be gruesomely hard to fight, he's easy to beat if you can corner him it's just getting close, he can tiger shot at both stand and crouch level and trying to jump kick him with result in a flying knee or a tiger uppercut.
