The worlds best video game package ever

User Rating: 9.2 | Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt NES
Many gamers that have been playing since they were little more then likely have ever played this game package of Duck Hunt and the Orignal Mario Bros. So I'll review the Mario first then Duck hunt. The first thing that makes this cartridge so great is that it has Duck Hunt and Mario Bros. and you can pick which one you want to play when you start it up.

So first of was mario the graphics were the best of its time when it was first released and had a great variety of levels, enimies and challenges as you progressed. The sheer unquieness of this game with how well it mixed all these elements into one made it exceed in so many ways. The length of the game was fairly long and there were alot of secrets hidden throughout the game that helped increase the replay value because of so many dedicated people that wanted to gather them all. As time progressed and people got better at the game it helped spark a new generation of gaming called speed runs. A Speed run is basically to show others the fastest possiable time you can beat the game in using every shortcut possiable. Though once you got to the end of your quest you realize that you get a pretty crappy ending but in the end you realize that is worth it and want to do it even faster then before.

Then there was Duck Hunt. The first and best First Person Shooter/Light Gun Shooter ever(depends on how you want to define it) This game helped bring the light gun fun of the arcade to the consoles and showed many companies that you can bring a light gun game to the consoles and that it can be worth it. There is three modes that are slightly harder in thier own ways for the more experienced players with faster reflexes. There was no real objective to the game except to see if you can score better then the last time you played. Not much replay value but a fun game to play with friends if you want to have a shooting competition with them and see who can do better.

So if you never played this package or want to know how platforming games and light gun games evovled then it is deffintly worth checking out. Espically for the ones that want to remember a well wasted youth on this game series. Though if you don't like playing older games then why are you even reading this review?
