Though it's not the best in the suikoden series, it certainly isn't the worst!

User Rating: 7.5 | Genso Suikoden IV PS2
Let me start off by saying this. Suikoden IV is not a bad game. It's soundtrack is as outstanding as ever, bringing tears to the eyes and bringing your imagination to life as it did in previous games, and you still have to recruit an army of 108 charismatic characters to populate your army. It is these two aspects of Suikoden games which gives them a special place in our hearts. Anything else can be endured, as long as we have these two things.

The game will be fun for those who like Rpgs with choices and effects of your choices. Your ship will evolve as you progress through the game, giving you a feeling of satisfaction.

Some negative aspects of the game are these.
1. Too many battles when at sea. Frustrating to some.
2. Settlements and towns are extremely underwhelming, unrealistic
3. The game is a tad bit short
4. Ship battles are not used to their full potential in the game
5. It could be compared to the size of a modern DLC
