This is actually Strikers 1945 II and its not as good as Striker 1945 on the Sega Saturn.

Ok this game is like every other top down shooter and it does not bring anything new from the first game either. If you are unaware the PS1 version of this game is actually part 2 called Strikers 1945 II and not Strikers 1945, it was released on the Sega Saturn only in Japan. So if you own a Saturn and a gameshark buy it for that system. I personally like Strikers 1945 part 1 better then part 2. Part 1 is better then part 2 because #2 is missing the little planes that you get in part 1 as you power up. Those little planes help a lot. Now if you need a top down shooter for your PS1 I would recommend Project Radian and if you wanted a side scroll shooter get G Darius, Thunder Force V, Gradius V(ps2) or Einhander.
In Striker 1945 1 if you hold down the fire button the little planes come to the front of your plane and fire continuously for around 10 to 15 seconds while you get to fly around worrying about other ships to kill.
