Streets of Rage gives you the ability to vault over the enemy and perform a backdrop. You can also escape throws by pressing up and jumb button. You can do back attacks and call for backup with the special button. This game was it. To be honest, this game is the reason I bought a Genisis. Beat-em up this good are not even produced today. That's why this is a classic. The music in this game is phenomenal. The legenday Yuzo Koshiro makes a soundtrack that just makes you wanna pummel everyone in sight. One of his best works.
This game is simply a classic. If you don't have it...get it. It's as simple as that.
