Steel Battalion is the only game EVER to give you a realistic mech experience

Very few games have even tried to do a mech game with a non standard controller and I don’t think ANY other did it without making the special controller optional until Steel Battalion. We have here a first person, in cockpit, action shooter that is very realistic and refreshing even for the obviously high price. Line Of Contact is the online only (or system link, but really that’s not as fun) game that uses the original Steel Battalion controller and uses it better then the original game. Unlike the original LOC has a time system and lets you pick and chose what you need to bring when you need it. There are no AI units online so don’t go online ant think you will own everyone and since it’s a very small community, everyone knows everyone else so when you get on talk to people, everyone wants o help out the “noobs” so the game will be better for everyone. The time system works in real-time but also with “turns” and “rounds” every turn is 1 week long (Wednesday @8:00 EST –Wednesday @8:00 EST) each round something neat happens like the addition of a new faction or better mechs (VTs) get released. The things you need to learn are the things you need to ask about online like “drops” (when a small number of better current VTs go to the supply bin) and how to open doors in underground maps and optional parts and how to shut down, clip dumping and anything else you have trouble with. There are 2 modes in the online area “Free Mission” and “Campaign” free mission is basically a practice area where the only thing you really lose is your pilot if you don’t eject. Campaign is the place to be, just don’t forget to mention you are new, you are guaranteed to be treated well by 99% of us and we’ll help you out. Great game, a must own if you have Steel Battalion and/or Xbox Live
