A solid games with just a couple of gripes

User Rating: 7.5 | Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark PS3
Due to the lack of triple A titles on the Vita, Indie games seem to be the order of the day and this one had caught my eye. This was never going to be a must have but it was certainly one that appealed to me.

Graphics
The graphics dept is never anything that is going to wow you in any way. However the style is quite appealing in a Despicable Me type of way

Sound
Again, there isn't anything amazing at work here. The music for the stages definitely suit this style of game.

Gameplay
The aim of the game is to get your clone through the level using the shadows as your ally to get to the computers dotted around the room in order for you to open the door and complete the level. This starts off quite simple, only having a few different enemies in your way, but as you progress, this naturally gets harder. The puzzles themselves are very good and there is a lot of trial and error to be done here. This can lead to some frustrating stages but I don't think you can blame the game for that, it certainly tries to tax your thinking at every stage.
However there are some clunky mechanics that I felt hampered my enjoyment. Your clone isn't the most agile and that can lead to missed jumps and the likelihood of death. The enemies aren't always consistent either. In one area I was walking along, what can only be described as a musical floor, and this can alert the robots to your presence. However what I found was they're not always alerted and therefore solving this stage led to a bit of luck. Luck, when it is on your side, is never a bad thing. However I think a game like this (or any game), should be about skill.

Final Thoughts
I bought this game with the understanding that this was going to be a filler game, one to play in between completing one game and waiting for another. Although I did enjoy some of the stages, I felt towards the end that it was becoming a bit of a grind. There were some inconsistencies with some of the rules and this led to some frustrating moments. However this game is quite solid and can offer some good entertainment. If you're of the type of mind that enjoys a good puzzle, then this could be for you.
