Well, any child of the 70's will truly appreciate this game. The premise is that you drive through different episodes (missions) and keep enough ratings while achieving the primary (and if wanted secondary) goal. Missions are usually stop the bad guy although there are a few escort missions also. While driving you also have the ability to shoot at bad guys in cars and on foot. You also shoot power ups along the route and, my favorite, stars that create a special scene. But keep the chase interesting and avoid pedestians and other traffic or the rating will fall.
The game is generally a lot of fun and not that difficult. I would have even gone for a 10 instead of an 8, but the grahics do get buggy at times and the cut scenes and cartoon stills with voice overs. The voicing is pretty good and apprioately hokey, I just am spoiled with animated cgi.
Well worth my £20 and at least a rental to you.
