The greatest RTS of all time? Quite possibly.

Ok, well I'm gonna start by saying if you played SC1 and loved it, stop reading this and just get this game. You will love it.

Next, for those who aren't SC vets but enjoy RTS games, get this game. It is a masterpiece of strategy gaming.

Pros:
+Graphics. The graphics are outstanding. Not CoH outstanding, but outstanding in the pure detail, artistic quality, and love put into the looks of the game.

+Campaign. The campaign is a gem, the best campaign of any RTS ever. Sure, it's only the Terran campaign, but it is so in-depth, deep and customizable and varied, it more than makes up for this. Each other campaign released in expansions promises new and innovative gameplay styles (ie the Zerg campaign will be similar to an RPG as you control Kerrigan, and the Protoss will have you negotiating with other clans to unite against the threat to the galaxy).

+Multiplayer. Extremely well balanced for a newly released RTS. Yes there are issues, but they will eventually worked out. Just look at SC1. The balance is near perfect and is still played 12 years later.

Negatives:
-Battle.net. Blizzard screwed this up with region locking, and they weird always online functionality. They'll fix this eventually, but for now, it just doesn't feel right.

-No LAN. LAN was a major feature of the original. Thanks to Blizzards fear of pirates, there is no longer any LAN support at all. Doesn't affect me any, but it will hurt a lot of people, especially because of the...

-Price. At $60, it is one of the most expensive PC games out there. And with 2 more expansions coming, each expecting to cost $30 or $40...this could be one of the most expensive games ever.

Overall, the pros outweigh the negatives in my view. It's an amazing accomplishment of a game. Yeah, it comes 12 years after the original. But it just made the release of this game all the more fun.
