SC1 was the best game I've ever played, period. I've played it for years and I couldn't get enough of it. Then came Dawn of War with its data discs and I had the new #1. Anyway, I was very excited about SC2 coming out. I expected this game to change the RTS genre again as it did back in 98. It fails to do that. As somebody in this community said earlier "it''s not a sequel, it's a remake". As long as you expect SC1 with better graphics you will be happy. If you expect a brand new gameplay and a ton of excellent ideas you will be disappointed.
People mostly complain about "No LAN" and "It's only Terran campaign for $60". Neither of those make me rate this game as 4/10. It's a lack of ideas and innovation that made me do it.
I'm really curious to see what the community overall feedback will be. So far it's very positive. See I don't care about campaigns and I know most people love them. I love multiplayer, that's what made SC1 so cool. Most people rate this game as 10/10 because of its campaign.
