A very great game for a first game.

User Rating: 9.5 | Star Wars: Racer Revenge PS2
This was one of my first 2 games for the Playstation 2 when I got one. In fact, this was my first game console aside the GameBoy Advance. I got this during Christmas, so I was more than estatic to fire it up, and the results were very astounding.

-Design-
The design will be familiar to racer fans. You will have single races, tournaments, multiplayer, and the bonus content. The single races are what they're called. Either win or lose, but it's all good fun.

The tournament is where I spent my most time on. You'll not only win trophies, but also new racers, tracks, and upgrades at Watto's. Your last tournament track will be the famous track in "Episode I: The Phantom Menace"

Multiplayer is just as fun as the single races.

-Gameplay-
If you've played racing games before, the controls wont be a hassle. A helpful feature is the repair feature. If you take too much damage, or if you're just a health nut, you can hold down both L1+R1 to repair, though you cant boost at the same time. Yes, you can boost, though boost to long, and your pod will loose control. Aside from that, just keep ahead of the game, you'll do fine.

-Presentation-
This is where I was really mesmerized. The graphics are simply incredible for a PS2 game. There are NO framerate issues anywhere in the game. The sound effects are great, and the music is wonderful, coming in at the exciting moments, like when you're in a fit with another racer. Presentation is excellent.

-Verdict-
If you're reading this right now, you may find this game for a small price. And if you're a Star Wars fenatic like me, or into fantasy racing, this is a worthy purchase.
