One of the better games that's based on a movie, however dissapoints in every other aspect.

User Rating: 6.5 | Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith PS2
Everyone has probably seen, played, read, or even heard about star wars. In fact it's one of the most popular Sci-fi movies of all time. As far as movies go, their no exception, in fact Revenge of the sith is one of the best star wars movies. Cant say the same about the game of course.

As with all movie to game ports, this one is above average at best. The story premise is just like the movie itself, so playing this game will ultimatlely spoil the movie. However, the game adds in stuff thats not in the movie (Anakin vs Cin drallig etc) which makes it a fun enjoyable experience. Plus with the in movie cutscenes, their fun to watch.

The campaign itself is short. There's 16 missions and each of them are not that longYou either play as Anakin or Obi wan, but after you beat the game, you unlock a couple missions where you can play as Yoda and General grievous. You could very easily beat it in one sitting if you're up to it. And some of the missions are fun, but the majority of them are tedioius and boring.
The missions that are fun, are the one's where you're having a lightsaber duel with someone. The other missions have pretty dumb objectives and the enemies are very easy to defeat. (clones and droids) Again, the funnest missions are where you're fighting someone.

For a PS2 game, the graphics are sub par. Nothing amazing but there are major graphical hiccups.

The strong points in this game is the gameplay itself.
This, arguably has the best lightsaber gameplay in any Star wars game, which made me very happy. Which, again made the bosses more fun to play in the campaign.
Their are several combos that you can pull off and every character has their own set of special moves. Which brings out another fun point in this game, which is the splitscreen coop mode.
Not talking about the coop missions (Those, have the same tedious missions like the campaign) I'm talking about the 1v1 deathmatch splitscreen option.

Where you and a friend choose a character (Jedi's and sith's from the game) and you bascially fight against each other in a lightsaber duel. I cant express the fun i had in this. I remember playing a certain friend loads of times And it would get very intense. Again this feature may not appeal to everyone, but it brings a Goldeneye'esque feeling to it and it brought loads of replay value to it.

So, in conclusion, if you are a huge star wars fan i would definitly recomend this game, but with a sub par campaign and little to no replay value (Splitscreen if you like it) its hard to convince someone who doesnt like star wars.

The Good:
-One of if not, the best lightsaber combat system in any star wars game.
- Fun Splitscreen action. Again brings me back to the Goldeneye days.
-Added bonus missions. Includes Yoda.

The Bad:
-Short campaign
-Tedious objectives and unnecesary levels.
-Little to no replay value.
-Poor graphics.

The Skinny:

One of the better movie to game ports, but other than huge star wars fans, it's hard for a non fan to enjoy such a game.
