An interesting but ultimately underwhelming star wars game

User Rating: 6.6 | Star Wars: Bounty Hunter GC
When I first heard of Star Wars Bounty Hunter I was pretty interested since Jango Fett is one of the more mysterious characters. I rented this game but played through about 75% of the game and I am about as familiar with the game as I want to be. The game does have some good points but plenty of bad also Gameplay - 7 Now I classified this game as hard but its not because of the combat. Battling enemies can be challenging and is pretty fun and is manageable once you get the hang of it. Its finding out where to go or what to do next thats the hard part. Despite the game's linearity it is very often easy to get lost which is extremely frustrating. The controls are decent but the obstacles in the game can be quite unnerving. Though the fighting is tense 70% of the time you will be mundanely wandering around Seriously, the reason this game gets a 7 is because there's loads of civilians to be killed. Graphics - 7 For its time, I guess Bounty Hunter was okay. Technically, it looks okay with only a few bad spots. The main problems are that the artwork is rather dulle, the level design very repetitive and there is very little diversity in the enemies. Sound - Bounty hunter sounds okay, nothing special. The background music is decent but it gets old really fast. The sound effects themselves aren't that great though. Value - The game has a decent amount of length to it, but that's mostly because you will be repeating the same level 15 times. If you are an experienced gamer it might not take you nearly as long. Reviewer's Tilt - 6 In retrospect, I put up with this game far longer than I should have. It's worth a rental but that's about it. Actually it probably costs 5 bucks now so its probably a better deal to just buy it.
