Just goes to show that in a galaxy far far away you don't nessasarily need a lightsaber to win a war.

Can a Jedi avoid a Missile from point blank? How about a gattling gun? Does a normal nameless grunt have any power against the force?

Answer: If your just crazy or smart enough then yeah, deffinately.

The game makes you look a the Star Wars universe in a whole new light, narrarated by the nameless war torn units you probably never cared about when watching the movie. Sure you could play the Jedi occationaly in this one if you wanted to, but truefully I found the game to feel much more intence when I was stuck in the nameless body of your averge Stormtrooper just trying to stay alive.

There are a bunch of improvements in Star Wars: Battlefront II since the first game then make your worker ant like experience much more intence. The most notice able is the added feature of the space battles between fleets, the ability to play as heros from the movies and huge amount of added environments and vehicles.

For those of you who have never played the first Star Wars: Battlefront, the general idea of this game is this. You play as one of the troops in most if not all of the important space battles from the six star wars movies. In order to finish a battle you (and a bunch of freinds if you want) have to accomplish certain goals to defeat opposing forces or sometimes just wipe them out. If you die, you just occupy another body in your army and continue the wars until you win or lose. You have absolutaly no advantage over the enemy except your brain and reflexes. You are no more a bullet absorbing terminator than anyone else in the game (unless you become a hero character temporarily and even then you've got to watch yourself). Every attack accidental or other wise can easily kill you and it's this sense of mortality that makes this games so amazing.

If you like war games of any kind I would highly recommend this game to you (wether your a Star Wars fan or not is truly irrelevent in this case, beleive me). This game makes you look at war games in a whole new light.
