A great snowboarding game that is so good, even those who don't like snowboarding games will want to play.

SSX for the PS2 is a great game, and I don't normally like snowboarding games. I like it because the graphics are good, the gameplay modes are fun, and there are a lot of different characters you can play as. I also like the tracks, there are about 7, but they all have their own shortcuts and alternate paths that are special to each, and it makes the game really fun. The only thing that sort of bugged me was that all of the characters basically had the same moves, there wasn't really anything that separated them from each other move-wise, but they did have different personalities, and of course boards.
There are two modes in this game, showoff and world circuit. World Circuit is just 3 races in each course, and in the first two, you only have to place in the top 3. The last race, though, is the one where you try to get a medal. Do the best you can though, because the better you do, the more points you get to improve your character.
The other mode is Showoff, and I really liked this. All you do is go through the course, and get as many points as possible, while trying to collect the bonus multipliers. They aren't too hard to find, they are giant floating snowflakes. Red is x5, Orange is x3, and Yellow is x2. So just have fun with this mode like I did.
Overall I really enjoyed playing this game, and I think you will to, you won't be disappointed.
