No matter what game system you have Spiderman: The Movie on it's still frusturating as hell.

The first Spiderman game I ever played. I always thought he'd be fun to play, but I guess not. In later Spiderman games they did manage to make it fun though and I salute them. But here...not so much. What they did is make an incredibly frusturating and hard game. It starts out in a lame tutorial which doesn't quite teach you enough of what you've gotta know. It's okay, but still unamusing. There's a really annoying guy telling you how to play and he's a total dick. Kinda funny though so you can just tune him out and not let him ruin the lame tutorial for you. Then you get to the game. From the minute you start the game you learn that you can't touch the ground when traveling the city. If you do you die. That is one of my biggest complaints here. It just ruins the experience. You can touch the ground during inside missions and stuff but who really cares, you can't go anywhere. Spiderman moves like a troll too. He needs to be speedier ...like a spider. Some of the web moves are kind of neat, like hanging on the ceiling, but they can frusturatingly be hard to use and I'm glad they dropped it from later games.

I do think the gameplay on the ps2 version is better but it still isn't that great. Web slingin is kind of a pain and the chase scenes, which have never been fun are as hard as possible. You have to fix stuff everywhere you go which would be okay if all the buttons were perfectly responsive and quick like in Ultimate Spiderman, but they're not. The voiceacting is pretty good but the music is nothing special. It's not bad either though so the sound is the high point of the game. The graphics are also good. And there's an okay amount of lasting appeal. But I never wanted to touch the game again.
