Spiderman on the Playstation 2 is something which is good but there is alot of room for improvement. You start off with spidey dressed in his wrestling costume from the movie. He swings from rooftop to rooftop to find the killer of his uncle. Later on in the game as you progress you will be playing in your proper spiderman costume. But nothing in the gameplay changes when you swicth costumes. You could have got advanced web slinging or something but that doesn't matter too much. Training mode lets you experiment with all the moves and the narrator Bruce Campbell can come out with some humourous comments along the way. One bad point is the ability to not be able to run or move on the ground. The sequel game, Spiderman 2 lets you do that but this game doesn't. So the outdoor levels will only let you move on rooftops and web sling in the skys. The graphics look clean and simple. Light reflects on spidermans eye patches of the costume and all these little things add up. There are better graphics i've seen on a PS2 game though. Music and sound is fine. Tobey Maguire and William Dafoe do the voices of Spiderman and Green goblin. There are tons of unlockables and cheats to discover so you will be able to play this more after completing it. Overall, spiderman is good enough for spidey fans and will keep you on your PS2 for a while, but a few flaws here and there spiderman could have been something which it wasn't.
