I hope they do a sequel.

User Rating: 9.6 | Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy PS2
The developers put their resources into imaginative environments and a number of engaging games, puzzles and tasks, like catching 'monsters' (not scary and usually not easy) and finding stolen jewels for the museum. I really invested myself in accomplishing these tasks. For example, there were two farmers who I visited often as they farmed plots I chose. The farmers found valuables in the plots and gave them to me. The developers did not invest in expensive voice acting and cinematics which is OK with me. I'd rather have the outstanding gameplay. There are some challenging parts (which is good) and I got stuck a couple of times but the walkthroughs were there for me. Replenishing money (scarabs) and health was easy and this made the game move along nicely. The mummy is not scary and quite endearing. Among other things, he catches on fire but it doesn't kill him because he's a mummy and he 'yelps' as he bounces around trying to put out the fire. Too funny! There is some combat and if you're addicted to violence, it won't be enough for you but it was just enough for me. Another aspect I really appreciated was the ability to move from place to place quickly. The developers provided lots of ways for you to move around so you weren't spending a lot of time watching the character run (booorrrring). Gold stars to the producers and developers who seem to have the insight of what makes a great game.
