I truly hope this is the first of many to come of mass compilations from the early generations of video games.

I'm having a blast with this collection. It only cost me $30, its probably all profit for the game companies too since these titles don't cost them anything to develop.

It reminds you that some of those games from the late 80s wind up being MORE FUN than many produced to day.

Obviously, I think current industry-standard graphics, vibrant 3D gameplay on my 1080 pixel HD are just mind blowing sometimes. Realtime physics. AI that can be hilarious or challenging. Very 2009. It's hard to imagine in 1989 these sprite-based romps were state of the art!

The key is the fun factor, the enjoyable meter - that is still reserved for a few of today's stars, just like the stars of the past.

You get a few stars on the Genesis collection, although there are more out there - both on the SMS, Genesis, even the original Nintendo. Some extra SMS games and arcade versions are unlockable as well.. although it might wind up running you through games you've never played - that are HARD by today's standards - just to collect points. Definitely different!

I'd like to see more of these discs. They are GUARANTEED to sell even in poor economic times.
The "museum" feature is nice, shows you the original box and cartridge art as well as the description.

Only thing missing is XBOX LIVE support for 2-player. That's a must have and its doable on the MS-points downloads versions of some of these games.

More, please.
