A little more efford into this game could have made it the comeback for the hedgehog

The Sonic the Hedgehog series has its place in history, but it kinda has lost it, with not so good games like Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06, and Sonic Unleashed was told to be the comeback to the character. Sadly, it's not quite the comeback longtime fans have waited due to some big flaws, but on the other hand it is more enjoyable than the other games i have mentioned.

GRAPHICS:
Graphicaly, Unleashed rocks and a Ps2 game cant get more better than this.5/5

SOUND:
The game feature some really nice tunes but overall is forgivable.4/5

GAMEPLAY:
The game is a 3D plataforming action game. It is broken in 2 different parts, the Hedgehog levels and the Werehog levels. The Hedgehog are classic Sonic stages and runs in a really nice speed, but they are overshadowed by the Werehog levels, because there are way more Werehog than Hedgehog levels in the game. The Werehog are kinda of God Of War inspired beat em up, but the problem is that they are really mediocre and don't fit with the Sonic character. They are repetitive as hell and the puzzles are stupid, but you can have a little bit of fun with these levels. The story is ridiculos and it looks like team sonic were trying a Mario aproach: Simple storyline, great gameplay. If only the gameplay was that great.2/5

OVERALL
Even long time Sonic fans should be careful with this game, but if you can overlook the Werehog leves, the Hedgehog levels may be worth to justify buying the game.
