I played the demo at a toys r us and this isn't Sonic the Hedgehog. This is Not the one I know. This game SUCKS and a lot more than your average Sonic game or shitty game.
STORY: One fine day during a Final Fantasy 10 parade Princess Elise was celebrating Life day when suddenly Eggman kidnapped Elise or something and was going to take all the Chaos Emeralds. Almost, But Sonic saves the day. Eggman has other plans though. Not that anyone cares. So Sonic and his gang of buddies new and old must save the world.
Honestly if this was any other game it could have worked but not here. It's far too ambitious and some furry romance ensue.
GAMEPLAY- Utterly broken. They had no other ideas other than to take Sonic Adventure and give it a different atmosphere but with piss poor controls. Sonic moves slow. There is an unusally control latency which would have been slightly better if there was a patch.
You can play as the other characters, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Silver, Shadow, and ect. All uniquely play bad.
GRAPHICS- Sonic Adve- I mean 06 is decidedly next gen to it's predecessors which are stuck on the Dreamcast Era of graphics. Some levels are so detailed 7th gen platforms could barely handle them. The models themselves aren't the best renedition of Sonic but they are well detailed nont the less. I just don't understand this art style All the robots look like their out of the Ghost in the Shell and all the humans look too real. An extreme stylistic clash.
But being that it's an early gen game it's also a mixed bag as many levels are just nothing but flat blurry textures. Ho hum.
SOUND-It's not use I'tsno Use. ItSS No USE. I wish the King of Pop Michael Jackson could save the soundtrack but instead we get this emo crap. Sonic isn't emo. Sonic is cool.
Overall. Sonic 06 is icky.
