At first glance, it wasn't the Sonic game i was expecting, but it turned out good.

User Rating: 8 | Sonic and the Secret Rings WII
Sonic and the Secret rings is Sonic's first game for Wii and his first Storybook Series of Sonic games. You start out with somewhat boring cutscenes as there is little movement involved in them.

Sound: The sound is amazing. The music is epic. Crush 40 pwned the soundtrack. Voice acting is great too. 10/10 for sound.

Graphics: Graphics for Sonic's first Wii game are pretty good. Detailed and good effects. Just a few minor faults that don't affect gameplay whatsoever . 9.5/10 for graphics

Gameplay: The gameplay is unique to other Sonic games. Sonic goes forward without your say. There is a brake button to make him stop. The early levels are very fun and amusing, however not too much later into the game, it gets EXTREMELY difficult. Luckily you have unlimited lives. Good call there, SEGA...he game is very linear, there's almost no secrets, and if there is one, it's almost always easily noticeable, just getting there is the problem.
6.5/10 for gameplay.

Control: The controls are new and sloppy. The turning isn't always perfect, and backing up can be a real pain. It would have been much better if you could control Sonic's movement with some BUTTONS! The movement is very linear as well. You can't change much of where you're going. 5/10 for control.

There's more to do than just the adventure/main story mode. Theres a party section that has many minigames to play with up to 4 people. The minigames are normally self-explanatory and just plain fun to play. There's a few different modes to play in party mode too.

Sonic and the Secret Rings has its strong points and some bad ones as well. If you are good at this game then yes, it'd be fun. But if you're not...then get ready to face serious anger and frustration unless you don't get angry...This game is a formidable game from SEGA for the Sonic series
