Sega has tried to make a Sonic racing game that rivaled the Mario Kart series like Sonic Drift, Sonic R, Sonic Riders ans Sonic Rivals and none of them even came near to Nintendo's Mario Kart franchise, (especially Sonic R, damn that game sucked!) but at last for Sega, they finally have a game that comes up to par with the Mario Kart games: Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing!!!! This game is a great alternative to Mario Kart and it even is nearly every bit like Mario Kart, except for the addition of All-Star Moves! All-Star Moves are items you use when your character is doing badly in a race, and can make whoever you are playing as go crazy on the course. With specials like Super Sonic, AiAi's Monkey Ball, Ryo Hazuki's Forklift, BD Joe's Crazy Boost, Alex Kidd's Peticopter and many more!!! This game is packed with chaos, epic racing and fun tracks as you play this game.
The only flaw is that you can only have four players for online instead of eight and the download play only lets you play with two players compared to Mario Kart DS which lets you play 8-player multiplayer Multi-card or single-card but other than that, I recommend this racing game to anyone who loves a good alternative to the Mario Kart series.
