Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is a legitimate 3D Platformer to have for the Gamecube and for those who like Sonic.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is port of Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast. For Nintendo people who want to try out a good Sonic game, this is your chance.

Gameplay, 7. There are two stories in this game: Hero and Dark. On the Hero side you have Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. On the Dark side you have Shadow, Dr. Eggman, and Rouge. Each character on the story you're playing plays differently. Sonic and Shadow levels play just like the Sonic stages in the first Sonic Adventure played. Tails and Dr. Eggman stages play similar to E-102 Gamma stages did in the first Sonic Adventure, but this time you're not timed and you have a health bar and do not depend on rings other than to heal you. Knuckles and Rouge stages work the same way the Knuckles stages did in the first Sonic Adventure.
After you complete a stage in the Story mode you can replay them later and do different missions for them.
Another thing you can do in this game is the Chao Garden. The Chao Garden is like a virtual pet thing where you take care of these little creatures known as Chaos. the Chao Garden has been improved from the oringal Sonic Adventure. On Story mode you would get to the Chao Garden by finding a Chao Garden Key in one of three Chao Boxes. Other than raising the little fellas you can make them compete in one of two things: Chao Racing and Chao Karate.
There is also a 2-player mode where you and a friend can face off. There are five different modes to play. You can race through different Sonic/Shadow stages. Battle it out on Tails/Dr. Eggman stages. Compete for hidden treasure on Knuckles/Rouge stages. Race each other in a Kart racing mode. Pick two Chaos to fight each other in Chao Karate.
The game plays decently. There is plenty of 3D Platformer fun to be had here. This game does have some problems though. The main one being the erratic camera. I mean this things will sometimes just put you in a real awkward position and at times it can cost you a life or two.

Graphics, 7. The graphcis are all right. Although they're not particulary impressive this game is a port from the Dreamcast which isn't as advanced as the Gamecube in graphics.

Sound, 9. I actually really liked the music for this game. The voice acting was okay I guess, I just wish they would have done the in syncing right and not make it look like an old Japenese movie at times.

Value, 9. There is plenty of value in this game. While the Story mode will take you only maybe a week or two to beat there is plenty of replay value to be had with the Chao Garden. Also, you can replay stages you have beaten and do the extra misions for them.

Difficulty, Just Right. The game's difficulty is about right. It may feel a little easy to Sonic veterans however.

Tilt, 8. I always liked this game. This was before Sonic started to go downhill in their platforming. If you're looking for a good 3D Platformer for your Gamecube or Wii, or if you're just a Sonic fan looking to add yet another Sonic game to your collection, then Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is the game for you.
