Given that its controlled on an iPod, this game shows just how much you can do without a screen and controller.

Leave it to Square-Enix to manage to get a fully functional strategy RPG game on an iPod. The thing that everyone needs to understand going into this is that it is not a Final Fantasy Tactics, but it is a well done strategy RPG given what it is being played on.

The game plays out like any other strategy RPG, but personally I found it to be less complicated, and the battles to generally be smaller, BUT I also felt that this was the intention given that the game was probably meant to open up the genre to people who are not well acquainted with it. Making your fighters out of music is interesting, but at times it feels like an add on to incorporate music into the game, but really there can't be too many complaints there, the game is $4.99 or $5.99 depending on where you live in North America.

The graphics are not anything you will see on a PSP, but they are full of a wide range of colours and the game does show just how much detail you can cram into this tiny iPod screen (especially on the character drawings). The characters along with the story are not extremely deep but they are still engaging, and they don't overdue the text, which is good because this game is meant to be played on and off the road. All in all it works out pretty well.

You are getting far more than your money's worth for this game!
