Sly cooper is a great game and you should check it out!
There have ben many platform characters and only a few stand out to me.Some of the characters in other platform games I didn't even really care about.It takes a lot to get a platform character to stick out.Mario is a legend because he started the run, jump and power up gameplay.Sonic the hedgehog was great because he could run around loops and spin, plus he had an attitude.Earthworm jim was funny and could use his self as a weapon.All the others don't really do anything that these guys have not.Sly cooper does though.He's a stealthy sneak that can.....run and jump.He brings a little freshness to the stale platform characters.Hes a good guy thats not really a good guy but is a good guy at the same time.
Whats even more is the voice acting,story and animation all come together so well that you can't help but like the entire cast of characters.The animation is great and sly and the band all animate really well.The cut sceenes are also well done and are kinda like a comic book.The sounds,and music are all great.The voice acting is some of the best you'll find on any game in any genere.The voice actors really help bring these guys to life.
The story is actually cool if you can believe that.You are sly and your parents were murdered when you was a kid.You go to an orphanage and meet your life long friends.After you hit whatever age it is when you can leave....you leave and go in search of the the thievius raccoonus that the bad guys stole.
The gameplay is top notch platform gameplay with some stealth and miny games mixed into the batch.Sly has many moves and while all are fun to play with,not all of them are really needed to finish the game.The level design is great and I like how you tackle one bad guys hid out at a time.I also like how all the bad guys levels are kinda big.Even though they are big this game is not really all that long.You can beat it in under 10 hours if you try and play it as long as 15 if your trying to find everything.Even so this game is really fun.
This game is like playing the next big animated movie, instead of watching it.Its really that fun and if you want to have some fun then you should check this one out.
