Sly the racoon is out seeking for revenge for the murder of his father and to retrieve his family heirloom.

User Rating: 9.5 | Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus PS3
Story: Sly Cooper, at a young age witnessed the 'Fiendish Five', a notorious gang, murder his father and take the book of Master Thieving called the Thievius Raccoonus. A Cooper heirloom containing techniques of mastering stealth and theft starting from the very first Cooper. However the Fiendish Five have split it in five and Sly Cooper, with the help of his two childhood friends Bentley and Murray, decides to get the book back and avenge Sly's father's death.

Gameplay: You primarily play as Sly Cooper who moves around in stealth. I will travel to different places in order to hunt down each and everyone in the gang Fiendish Five.
What I found fun with the gameplay was the fact that even if the game is repetitive in terms of movements, it is still so fun because there are different ways to get through a level. Sure, you are required to sneak and be stealthy, but the way to go from point A to point B isn't always linear.

I also like that there are clue bottles to hunt for which in the end will lead to unlocking a safe, giving you a new technique. However all 30 clue bottles are required to open the safe.

Enemies/Monsters: The primary antagonists in the game are of course the Fiendish Five, in the cities you visit you will however spot plenty of underlings roaming around, very trigger happy, if you are spotted.

Skills: As you progress in the game, Bentley will inform you of how you can interact with the thief auras – the blue starred lines that appear all over the place when playing as Sly. There's also a place called Thief Net, which you can only access from their hideout, where you can buy some skills mostly for Sly. And then of course the last set of skills you can aquire is from the safes in each and every level of the game, but only by collection all the clue bottles.

Overall: I honestly didn't expect the game to be so amazing when I played it! My first experience with Sly was Sly 3, and I thought that the predecessors would be similar, but honestly this one is nothing like the others in terms of gameplay. It's very simple and the controls feel so natural!

Definitely an amazing game. I didn't really feel that there needed to be any improvements, but because of my surprise my brain told me that a 9.5/10 was all I could give it. But I the 9.5 is well deserved!
