Silent Hill is Konami´s first Survival Horror game there have been a lot of expections of the game but people are worring about if it´s gonna be better than Resident Evil will it beat the RE games?. The story sees Harry Maison he´s going to the town Silent Hill with his 7 year old daughter Cheryl but on the way they crash into the town and when Harry wakes up Cheryl´s gone he then get´s out of his car to look for Cheryl. Harry find´s out quickly that he´s in Silent Hill but it´s too quiet and the town is covered in a thick fog Harry walks forward to find Cheryl he finds her but then she runs off into a alley Harry follows after her in the alley Harry hears a siren(a prision siren or that´s what it sounds like)and as Harry contines to explore the alley it´s getting dark he reaches the end of the alley and he finds a dead body and after finding the body monsters appear Harry tries to escape from them but the place he´s gone into has turned into a dead end so he can´t get out. After the monster have killed Harry Harry wakes up in a cafe in SIlent Hill it´s was all a dream in the cafe he meets Cybell a cop from the next town over she gives him a gun and leaves the cafe and is heading for her´s Brams to call for help Harry is on his a´way out of the cafe when he hears a sound it´s coming from a radio and when he´s looking at the radio a monster is comming trough the window so the dream about the monsters? it chould have been for real. Anyway enough of explaing the story now over to the gameplay. The gameplay´s like Resident Evil you run around in places trying to find some items and shooting monsters by holding down R2(like Resident Evil expect in RE your holding out your gun with R1)but unlike RE you can walk while shooting it works pretty good. Also there´s puzzle sovling like in Resident Evil the puzzles are hard but not so hard that you´ll go on the internet to find out how to clear the puzzle. Also unlike RE there´s no camera angels the camera´s following Harry and it works so it´s not iertaiting like in RE. The combat is working but not as good as RE´s combat because eveytime you shooting a monster some times you got to walk down to the monster and then stap on it with the X botton it´s not a good way to kill monsters and don´t even try to shoot them to death(expect for the bosses)because that almost take a whole magazine. The Arsneal is not big apart for the Handgun Harry can find a Shotgun a Rifle a Chainsaw and a Rock Driller so there´s not Rocket Launcher no Sniper Rifle and no Machine Gun. What really makes the game so scary is the sound effects sometime when you enter a room you´ll sometimes hear a sound like someone opens a door or walks around you but you can see what it is that´s scary and it´s a good way to scare people and it´s as good as the boo effect in Resident Evil. Also the music is brillant during the game it´s kinda capture the picture like your in a very scary room and during the cut scenes it´s very good and the music´s not like in game(the music can be brought on the Silent Hill 1 soundtrack). The voice acting is very good you´ll never say that the voices are bad. The game is a little short it takes about 10 hours to complete but there´s some replay valve because in total there´s 5 endings. The graphics are good but the characters faces looks like skulls with skin otherwise the places are modeled good. So Konami has succesfully made a scary game it´s better than Resident Evil so Survival Horror gamers should get this game now.
