Finally! A game that actually scares the hell out of me. INSTALL the game if you have framerate drops!

User Rating: 9 | Silent Hill: Downpour X360
Silent Hill Downpour really brings back the feel of our favourite creepy town. You play the usual role of a troubled man with a jaded past. Downpour succeeds in being creepy as hell, the game has a habit of knowing just the right time to throw an enemy at you to keep it scary every time you face one, and the enemies are truly threatening and disturbing. I recommend playing on at least normal mode the first time through for the proper experience. I played easy mode with my gf and I found the enemies to be a little underwhelming. On normal and hard modes, your weapons break more quickly, enemies block your attack, enemies take more killing, and they do more damage to you. The harder difficulties are way more fun in this game, as the emphasis really is on survival, and that's how a true survival-horror should be!

This game delivers on all fronts, and the fact that they added sidequests is great, it gives you more reason to explore the vast and intriguing nightmare of Silent Hill. The game also has a revealing story, some incredible set-pieces, and 'the other world' has never looked so REAL! I didn't really know what to expect from this game when I bought it, but so far it has delivered upon all of my expectations and then some.

If you are a fan of survival horrors and silent hill, then you have no option but to buy this game and enjoy it. It is the finest game in the series to date, it has a story that is involved, the character speaks as he explores and it really helps him seem real, I would probably talk to myself too if I ended up in a place as scary as this.

I won't give any spoilers but I will say that you start the game in the wilderness, you make your way to silent hill by crossing a mountain and an old mine/cave system. You learn some interesting things along the way too. Then you arrive in Silent Hill itself, and it is as nostalgic (for SH players) and creepy as ever! I want to talk about some of the interesting enemies you face in this game, but I don't want to spoil anything, so all I will say is:

BUY IT! BUY IT NOW!
