Now, I never played the other 3 Silent Hill games, but this one was worth the 30 or so dollars i used to buy it. From the creepy atmospheres of the many beautifully done levels, to the bizarre and plain scary noises the even more scary monsters make, this game kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. Having so little ammo and health at your disposal, I encourage everyone to save these for bosses, and try to fight only the monsters you have to. Some may say that the monsters may not look very good, but most of the time, they will be barely visible, except little light from your flashlight, or covered in fog. Having the radio at your side will help you know when you are close to mosnters, which in some cases will scare you, knowing that monsters are close, but also help you in this matter. Make no mistake, this game is horror survival at its finest, at some places it may even seem better than Resident Evil 4. All the character models are extremely well done, and with very nice shadowing on characters, and monsters alike. This game is absolutely worth buying, or at least a rental if you can't find it anywhere. (I had to order it from konami.com) I think the game is actually pretty short, may be finished in under 10 hours. With the exception of it being pretty short, this game is very well done, and should be in your collection of games.
