Eerie and spooky; SH3 will definitely be worthwhile to play!
I do believe the game could have been lengthier though. I found that I had beaten it and than had nothing to do except find new costumes and one secret weapon. If you like costume changes this is definitely the game for you.
The main character is a little hard to follow with the name changes, but her true name is Cheryl and she was born in the small town of Silent Hill. Her birth was a mystery to her and she tried to push it out of her mind until one day, at the mall, a detective named Douglas approaches her saying someone needs to talk to her about her birth. Like most teenagers do, she shrugs it off and runs away.
As the story progresses she suffers from frequent headaches and turns her world into a gruesome nightmarish place where monsters rule. She meets a woman named Claudia who has mysterious intentions for her and her plan to let "God" re-create the world.
After Claudia's minions kill Heather's [Cheryl] father, her only living relative, she teams up with Douglas to return to Silent Hill and figure out what all of the atrocity means. The town is also engulfed in that nightmare world and Heather finds more and more disturbing things.
She finds out that she is to have a baby and that baby will be God as human form. Choosing not to do this, she eats a pill in a locket given to her by her father that makes her throw up the baby inside of her. Claudia, being the mad woman that she is, swallows it in hopes that she will have it instead.
Claudia dies and the newfound "God" is released. Heather must fight this creature for things to hopefully return to normal. Different endings ensue after this dramatic play.
Well, I have found great sport in this game and I hope you will too.
