What does the game lack? What are it's problems and how it could become even greater that it already is?

The game is great, but still there is room for improvements that would make it just perfect!

Concentrating on the NEGATIVE stuff first :
It is clear that the Artificial Intelligence of the game has problems. A vessel can neither pass through an other as if the later wasn't even there, nor appear out of nowhere aiming to crash onto your ship. (To make my second example clear, a container ship suddenly appeared and made unrealistic maneuvers literally aiming for my yacht.)
Additionally why can't a ship in collision course with yours slow down a little or turn away to make your life easier??? In case you make a mistake and endanger your ship it's your job entirely to save the day.

The map is not accurate as well, in my opinion. The distance between your ship and the others, as well as the surroundings isn't always exactly as shown on the map. As a result the map just warns you if other ships are approaching and that's all. You have to turn the camera around to find out their precise location and heading.

Another slight problem of the game play is mooring. I can't remember in which mission, i had to moor my ship in 2 different locations. I did the first one and before pressing the unmoor button, i accidentally pressed the moor button again. Then a rope 1 or 2 nautical miles long appeared and moored my ship to the second location along with the first. (!!!)

The truth is that the problems above are almost surpassed thanks to the latest patch, though little bother to notice, underappreciating the game.

And the POSITIVE stuff :

The CONCEPTION of the game it self is OUTSTANDING. It concerns all those who are fond of all kinds of ships and sailing them. I won't bother writing in detail everything i like about the game because i'll bore you, but i just want to say what i would like the game to become.

IF : - there was a way to spend the money you earn from your missions (for example enhancing your ships)
- the plot of each mission had a specific order not only at the directions provided but in the actual order of executing the sub-missions
- it was possible to visit more places than hamburg and the phi-phi islands
- you could travel around the globe (having an adjustable time axis) with larger ships

THEN : the game would not be just another simulator, but it would be an addiction for us who truly like ships!!!
