Still worth buying

Even though Samurai Western is my least favorite of the "Way of the Samurai" series, I still insist that every fan should buy it. I would still import the game if it never came to our shores. There's something very statisfying about using 'Bushido Sense' to dodge and deflect bullets (which is scientifically accurate- though the dodging part isn't).

The game is repetitive, and this is it's downfall. But every time I managed to dodge a hail of bullets coming at me, I pat myself on the back. Also, the 2 player mode wasn't well done. Ralph is ignored by the enemies, allowing my little brother to pummel them as I ran for my life. But there was a few boss stages where this bug saved my life.

I'm a big guy on story, and Samurai Western delivered it. The character designs are the most interesting part of the game. Huge guns, cowboy zombies, and a samurai gunslinger! Voiced by some of the best voice talent also. (Jennifer Hale and Steven Blum) Yes guys, it's not meant to be taken seriously- Yes, there are strong stereotypical voices for some characters. Like no one in the US endorses said stereotypes...

Bottom line, by now Samurai Western must have come down in price. So why not give this slightly rusted sword a chance.
