If you've owned an MSX and you probably remember Salamander. I sure did, as all Konami shooters where great on that system. It's nice to see this compilation of shooters. What's great about this compilation is that it contains 5 games. Salamander 1 (arcade and nes version), 2 (PS1) and Xexex, which I did not know but reminds me a bit of Space Manbow . There's also a music bonus section which has some nice (tuned up) midi versions of the soundtracks. Last but not least there's a complete Gradius (Nemesis) 2 version which seems a direct MSX port (even SCC music) but better graphics and smoother scrolling.
You can even save your progress. The only downside I noticed was the lack of SCC of Midi music for Salamander 1.
If you like 2D Shoot'em ups, you should get this game, if you can get it!
