I have always wanted a guitar game that taught me guitar and allowed me to play some of my favorite songs with the rest of the "band". This game delivered. Some reviews have seen complain that the game is too hard or that the auto difficulty sucks, but I am having a blast and in two days can play some songs I had no idea how to play before. I have tried two different guitars and both work fine.

I do wish there was something more happening in the background, they seem too dark and boring. I understand this is more like what its like to be on stage, but it could use some livening up.The menus feel a little clumsy, I wish the navigation was a little less linear. The voiceovers are pretty dry, but for an instructional game, I can live with that.

I just hope they plan to put out a ton of extra songs!

Guitar ability before the game: amateur, but could play a few songs and took some lessons 15 years ago.

    Rocksmith doesn't make learning guitar any easier, but it makes it a whole lot more fun.
