The first Rock Band game on the PSP is a great success!

As this being my first Rock Band game, or any music game for that matter I may be too generous but EA and Harmonix first venture to the portable world is definitely a success.

There are four difficulty levels and depending on the difficulty level of the song, you should choose the one best for you, because if you don't you will likely fail the song unless you have enabled the No-Fail option. And though you play all the instruments, it actually works in a way that is accessible and not overly difficult. There is a tutorial that introduces you to the genre if you are starting a music game for the first time and or if you are familar with the style of game you can skip to the tutorial that teaches you how to play as all four band members. Rock Band Unplugged accomplishes this by having the player play a series of notes for a single insrtument then having AI take over while you do the same for the other three. Though it sounds like it could become hectic, you will get used to it and start playing gigs like a pro.

Tour mode enables you to start a band in the city of your choosing then tour the world playing gigs in cities such as London, Boston, Chicago, and New York just to name a few. Along the way you'll earn money which will allow you to buy new outfits, hairdos, and instruments. Every now and then you will be offered a special gig that will give you 3 times the money, double or nothing, etc. Some gigs will give you a bus or a plane in reward for the gig, allowing you to go to new cities and play new gigs.

Rock Band Unplugged is a must own for fans of the series or new comers alike.
