Ristar has been a classic platformer for the ages. Ristar for the Game Gear is a perfect game for you, if you don't have any of the other consoles Ristar was also on. While the game is fun, the graphics aren't as smooth as the Genesis's, as well as the sound, but they both still hold up pretty nicely.

The only significant change that was made to the Game Gear version is the star coins. like coins and rings, star coins can total up your score and give you 1-ups. It's extremely fun to collect star coins, and there is a significant chance you'll not want to be bored.

Overall, Ristar for the Game Gear is just as fun as the Genesis version, with slowdowns on graphics and sound. Still, if you want a great Game Gear game, you couldn't go wrong with Ristar.
