A better game than the first.
Story
You are Nathan Hale a soldier who must wipe out the Chimera threat across many parts of the world.
Gameplay
This game is mainly most about shooting but it does have some good scenes to it and some cool weapons as well. The game is always pushing you forward so you are in no worry to know where to go. Along the way you will fight enemies with normal guns,Heavy Weaponry and sometimes invisible enemies as well charging enemies and shielded ones so it always takes a bit of strategy to work out your best weapon combo.
Speaking of weapons you get your main machine guns,Shotguns and Rifles. There are some really cool weapons with cool features. One can get an enemy through a wall. One a big Grenade Launcher type weapon. Also there is a Magnum with a secondary fire which hits enemies and explodes them plus the other guns have a secondary fire too. Also you have grenades as well and other things. The problem is though you have to pick the weapon you want to replace.
At the end of virtually every level you face some sort of boss sometimes you seem to know what it is because it's being pestering you through some of the level. Also what doesn't make it repetitive is they can't just have bullets planted into them. There is always something in the area that can damage them.
Is there any flaws in the game yes some of the enemies can kill you in one hit and that is a bit unfair. The cover system ain't perfect either and well the multiplayer there is no one on it now.
Presentation
The graphics look incredible the water effects and some of the building look great too. It shows Insomniac really went all out to improve on the first game.
Lastability
About an 8 hour campaign and with Resistance 3 out you will be lucky to find some people online.
Overall Opinion
Definitively a massive improvement over the first game. The story is good, the gameplay is mainly shooting but with different solutions on how to get certain bosses and enemies it keeps it entertaining. Certainly worth a look.
