Definitely a new style of gameplay for the Resident Evil series that sets a new standard for survival-horror games.

To think that Capcom had already run out of ideas when they released Resident Evil Outbreak File#2, think again.

Originally for the Gamecube, Resident Evil 4 gives a brand new style and appearance to the survival-horror genre for the Playstation 2.
From the stunning graphics of the cool new hybrid first person-third person like shooting to the bone-chilling BGM's and soundeffects, if you are a major fan of the series I'll be sure you'll wanting this game.

In the game you play as the government agent, Leon Scott Kennedy (first seen in Resident Evil 2), which is one of the survivors of the Racoon City Outbreak. Settling 2 years after that, he is now on a mission to retrieve the president's daughter, Ashley Graham, from a mysterious area inside the depths of Europe.

As you progress through the game you'll find that everything isn't what it seems. The village people are acting very strange, and they might not be zombies but their still out to kill you with pitchforks, knifes and even chainsaws. And it's up to you to figure out what's going on.

But don't worry, such a challenge won't be alone. You'll meet some characters in the game which'll help through your mission.
Including Ada Wong (also seen in Resident Evil 2)
Eventhough the game's overall appearance seemed different you'll still find some classic elements from the Resident Evil series. Like the giant disgusting monster bosses and minions, and ofcourse the green and red herbs!

Something cool in the game is the new button command feature. For example your being chased by a giant boulder (from the Indiana Jones movie) your required to mash either the X or the square button to get away from it. Also a new dodge move is added to the game, like when a giant tentacle is out to smash you they're is going to be a button prompted on the screen like L1+L2 that when pressed correctly will trigger Leon to do a cool cinematic dodge move.

And who'd forget the weapons. As from most Resident Evil games you're armed with a gun, but this time in the Resident Evil 4 firearms come in a more wide selection, from a 12 barrell shotgun to a cool Mine Launcher, it makes kicking the bad guy's butt with limitless possibilities.

Bottomline is, this game is totally-cool for both fans of the game and people who just want to play a an action-adventure game. Hey, if you hadn't tried this game yet, you're missing out on all the fun.
