The game is a classic. The survival horror era is now dead with the sequels being very bad games. Fortunately, I can play this game again and again and never get tired of it. The monsters are scary and just the right difficulty. There are also four scenarios essentially so you have plenty of gameplay from the two discs. The is an easy and a normal mode for you to change the difficulty. I have played it so much that I know where all of the items are and where all of the puzzles are solved - oh yes! This game has fantastic puzzles that makes the game a challenge. it is not a linear game where you progress in one direction, which seems to be all that games are anymore. You run back and forth through the same areas with goals that you are unsure of, that gives it that mystery and makes it more challenging than regular shooting games that exist nowadays. The monsters get harder as you get better, and the games classic frozen camera angles make the game even more scary as you cannot see what is round the corner.
