Well, this is the review for the fact that it was originally a DLC game that was later brought to the Microsoft X-box 360 line-up, it is one of the games you will either take a liking to this quirky ecchi anime or just grow on you overtime. This genre is a the original installment of two later titles, a prequel and AW2, keep in mine that the game play itself does not require you to delve into the Agarest War Zero and itself as a standalone title is of great storyline and Japanese style beautifully illustrated (especially the female characters) of the video game. You begin your journey as Leohardt, a young and proud knight "Golden Leo" of his kingdom, who was defeated by an Ominous Black Knight in attempts to save a young elven girl named, Ellis and on the brink of death, he is later saved by Dyshana, but for his life he will have to become a "Spirit Vessel" and he will then have to select a bride "Pillar of Light" to save the land of continent of Agarest and all of humanity. Definitely a catchy theme of picking the right mate and fulfilling heroic deeds are the premises of this game. Aside for some very naughty and somewhat gratuitous hentai like artwork, the game is surprisingly fun and with a cool evolve monster capture and recruiting system and special weapons, armor, accessory enchantments, it give plenty of in-depth hours of a rather simplistic play mechanics but the "Special Skill Over-kills" will keep your eyes mesmerized and you glued to the next chapter. Game-play can be auto-sequenced and rather linear, with a challenging but optional Generational event stage. This game is a must for any die-hard anime or srpg fan. Check it out if a little bit of otaku like romance and peril in your wants.
