A classic platformer at its finest.

User Rating: 9 | Ratchet & Clank (Platinum) PS2
Ratchet & Clank is probably one of the best platformers the PlayStation 2 had to offer. With its creative and colorful worlds, great voice acting and hilarious cutscenes with funny dialogue, it's hard to say no to it. Ratchet and Clank are a good pair and they get along with each other just fine. I like that they never get into fights or argue among themselves and usually 2 friends do that. Just because this game is a platformer doesn't mean that it's fun and friendly. There's no blood or profanity but you do use weapons like machine guns and rocket launchers and stuff like that. You also travel to planets and do missions and watch cutscenes here and there. What I don't like about this game is the dying. Health in this game is called Nanotech and when you lose Nanotech, it usually takes you back to where your ship landed. I hate that because when I get real far in a certain planet, I die and don't want to end up back to where the ship landed. Let's hope that Going Commando has checkpoints. Platform games like these are a good reason to have a PlayStation 2. Ratchet & Clank is clearly a classic.
