Wonderful game! Insomniac did it again; imaginative gameplay, beautiful graphics, fun characters, great story. Gameplay: Action Platforming at its very best! This game is just plain fun! If you've played the first Ratchet & Clank, this game is huge in comparison. The developers also added many cool little features that keep the game exciting. Weapons actually upgrade the more you use them, the go from powerful to ultra deadly as the game goes on and you use the different weapons. There are also a number of mods for purchase throughout the game that give the weapons a little extra sumthin' sumthin'. They also created a new health system that makes your health bar grow the further you progress in the game. A new armor kiosk lets you add protection to Ratchet, meaning enemy hits will do less damage to you. There are a whole bunch of other tweaks to the game, but I would be here all night. Basically, Going Commando is more of the same, with extra stuff to enjoy. But it sure as hell will keep you entertained throughout the experience. Graphics: Beautiful! Pushes the PS2 to the limit with lush scenery, huge maps, great looking enviroments. There are many different enemy types throughout the game, and they all look great. Sound: The futuristic weaponry sounds excellent, with the explosions and gunfire etc. etc. Vehicles sound great also, as does the voice acting. Value: As with most platformers, you beat it once, it goe straight back to EB Games for credit. However, in G.C., the developers added an extra incentive to pay it through another time; it is ten times harder and you recieve 20 times more bolts, meaning that the R.Y.N.O. and other expensive weaponry will be a lot easier to purchase. Trust me it is worth way more than the credit you would recieve!
