An amazing game in it's own right. It lives up to all expectations and is a match for the original itself.

User Rating: 9.3 | Ratchet & Clank 2: Locked and Loaded PS2
At first I believed this game was going to be a pile of trash compared to the original. The original was a unique experience that granted the player utter entertainment until the bitter end. This game was no exception... Along with a pile of new gadgets and weapons, Ratchet and Clank are back. This time they are locked and loaded more so than ever. Once again Insomniac has proved that their ideas are fabulous. The new weapons are far more amusing that the arsenal from the previous game. Not only are there far more weapons, there is the ability to upgrade them. This system opens up a window of opportunity for the player and adds to the game already extensive lifespan. On the topic of upgrading, Ratchets weapons are not the only things to be upgraded this time round. Armour can be purchased to defend Ratchet against enemies, enabling the player to have a lot of fun experimenting with strategic ways of defeating oponents. Ratchet and Clank 2 acts more like an RPG than the original game did. Ratchet can gain experience points by defeating enemies. Once a specified experience number is reached, Ratchet's health (or nanotech) is increased. Once more the player is given the opportunity to dig further into the games unlimited supply of entertainment. Ratchet and Clank 2 is just as flexible and entertaining as the original and holds high the expectations for it's release. This game is well worth the buy.
