"Best Console Game Ever Produced"

User Rating: 9.8 | R.B.I. Baseball (Unlicensed) NES
This game, in conjunction with Tecmo Super Bowl essentially put the console sports game into the mainstream. With extremely simple, and accurate (with a few exceptions) this game is still one of the most popular and entertaining baseball games available on any platform. Only featuring 8 teams (the previous 6 pennant winners and NL and AL allstar teams featuring players not on the other 6 teams), this game still has nearly infinite replay value.

The other people who claim that "offense is king" must absoloutely suck at this game. When I play with my friends most games come down to pitching and who can manage their pitchers the best. The gameplay is impeccable, the graphics get by (no point in comparing them to modern graphics, however Baseball Stars did have much, much better graphics just one year later), the sounds are amazing (i think the RBI Baseball theme is the most recognized theme among men 18-35 after SportsCenter) and the world would be better if modern games spent more time copying this game than capturing more slides and tags.
