Great controls, imaginative tracks, crazy air and a simple trick scheme make Pure the ultimate off road racer.

I recall playing a demo of Pure back in october with my brother James. We both could not get over how much air you could get in this game, so we got it for Christmas this year. And it is a purchase worth getting. I've played this game every day since I got it.

I've driven an ATV before at my uncle's house when I went to Colorado in August, so I know what I'm talking about when I say Pure is definitely an extreme racer. You race with ATV's at high speeds racing up jaw dropping rolling hills and doing tricks (a la Tony Hawk). You can race, Sprint (shorter version of races) or Freestyle (do tricks). All of these are very fun and mix up the action well.

The World Tour mode is the heart of Pure. It allows you to race in a series of races with growing difficulty for each circuit. You'll get showered with customizations for your ATV vehicle, which you can change and upgrade at any time. I like how you can change the handling and boost of your ATV as well.

The tracks themselves are nothing short of amazing. You'll travel to scenic and Lush landscapes in Mexico, Thailand, California, and even Oregon. My personal favorite was the Glacier track, which is an excellent track to play during winter. Doing tricks with the A button allows you to unlock b button and Y button tricks and some boost, and then your special tricks. going off HUGE (and I mean HUGE) ramps stops the music and makes your stomach twist. This is when you do your special trick, and my favorite was the Shaolin Monk. How does he let go and still land on the ATV? That's beyond me, but it's the lack of realism that makes me love this game so much. I love the branching paths as well, giving the game replay value. Even though this is a Disney game, when you crash it really looks like you're going to die! It's hilarious when your racer flies off the ATV and is about to hit a rock!

There's no multiplayer mode, which is the game's single flaw in my book. I really wish that I could battle my friends via split screen, but oh well, you can't have everything.

The graphics aren't as good as Motorstorm's, but they're still good looking thanks to the fantastic landscapes and detailed environments. I love when your racers shirt starts blowing in the wind as you race, and you have to respect that amount of detail. The music is okay, but I personally turned it off. The menu music is awesome, however. The voicing of your racer is annoying at first, but then it grows on you.

Great controls, imaginative tracks, crazy air and a simple trick scheme make Pure the ultimate off road racer. Nothing can compare to how fun this game is. The online gameplay is also superb. Casual gamers and hardcore gamers will absolutely love this game, and this is probably my favorite racer of this generation. Easy to play and visually jaw dropping, Pure will win over any racing fan.
