A completely boring and pointless game.

I am the type of person who loves virtual pet games (or any kind of simulation game for that matter). This was one of the few of its type for the DS that looked pretty decent (especially compared to some of the lackluster pet games for the DS that have been released recently). I was actually very excited about this game. Too bad it was a sore disappointment.

You are the owner of a pet shop (though really, a dog shop because that's the only sort of animal in it). You buy dogs to sell for a profit. You can also buy things such as food and shampoo to sell, but this feature seems pointless as I have yet to see a sale for this in the few hours I have put into this game.

Buying and selling the dogs is completely boring. You buy the dogs in bulk from a list. Each time you buy a dog(s), a new one(s) appears on the list. The interaction you have with the dogs you buy is very limited. When you choose a dog to interact with, you are taken to a room to have some one on one time with it. You can throw a ball for it to 'play' with. That in itself is completely useless because when you throw it, the dogs just runs up to it, then stops and does nothing else with the ball. You can also 'clean' it, which is tedious and takes so DAMN long for the cleanliness meter to go up. You can also teach it a handful of tricks to increase its intelligence. This is the only worthwhile feature for increasing the price of the dog. All of these interactions are there to help you make a profit, but playing with the dog and cleaning it are virtually useless.

Even when the dogs sell, it's rather boring. You make profits in order to buy more dogs just to create the some boring monotony over again. There is no interaction with customers and it's random about what dogs sell. When you change menus, sometimes you'll get a screen that pops up to tell you which dogs sold.

Sometimes you'll get emails from past customers telling you about their dog or sometimes even get emails from people requesting a certain breed. But really, these are get boring and pointless too.

That's really all there is to the game. Nothing makes you want to continue. Within 30 or so minutes of gameplay, you've seen all there is to see. There isn't any sort of reward or new events that keep your interest going. Heck, it doesn't even seem like a complete game. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
